Περιγραφή προϊόντων

16-Port Unmanaged Rugged PoE Ethernet switch

1. What It Is?

IM-FP041616GE is a non-managed industrial PoE Ethernet switch built for environments where simplicity, durability, and uninterrupted operation matter more than configuration flexibility.
It is designed to work out of the box—no software setup, no network tuning, no management overhead.
Once powered on, it immediately delivers data connectivity and PoE power to connected devices.
This makes it suitable for industrial sites where on-site IT expertise is limited or where long-term maintenance must be minimized.
The switch acts as a fixed-function industrial infrastructure node, not a configurable network controller.

2. What It Connects?

Sixteen Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports provide dense access for industrial edge devices.

Each copper port automatically negotiates speed and duplex settings.

Connected devices receive both network connectivity and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable.

Four Gigabit SFP fiber ports extend network reach far beyond copper limitations.

Fiber transmission distances scale from short-range links to up to 100 km, depending on the optical module used.

This combination supports local device aggregation with long-distance uplink connectivity.

3. How Power Is Delivered?

The switch integrates IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE standards.

Each PoE-capable port can supply up to 30 W of power.

The total system power budget reaches 300 W, allowing simultaneous power delivery to all 16 Ethernet ports.

PoE power is supplied directly over Category 5 Ethernet cabling.

No external power adapters are required at the device side.

This significantly reduces installation complexity and wiring cost.

Typical powered devices include IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and access control terminals.

4. How It Behaves on the Network?

The switch operates in non-managed mode.

There is no CLI, no Web interface, and no configuration files.

Network forwarding behavior is fixed and deterministic.

Basic loop prevention is supported through STP and RSTP, reducing the risk of network instability.

Basic IGMP snooping limits unnecessary multicast flooding in video surveillance networks.

Support for IEEE 802.1Q VLAN enables simple traffic separation without advanced policy configuration.

This ensures essential network stability while keeping operation straightforward.

5. How It Survives Industrial Environments?

The device is built for continuous operation in harsh conditions.

It functions reliably across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.

Humidity tolerance spans 5% to 95% (non-condensing).

A rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure protects internal components from dust and mechanical impact.

The enclosure dimensions (483 × 275 × 44.5 mm) suit standard industrial rack installations.

6. How It Handles Electrical Stress?

The switch uses DC 48–52 V non-polar power input.

Non-polar design simplifies field wiring and reduces installation errors.

The internal design meets industrial EMI and EMS standards, resisting:

Electrostatic discharge

Surge and EFT events

Radiated and conducted interference

This ensures stable operation near heavy machinery, power equipment, and rail systems.

7. What It Does Not Do (By Design)?

It does not require network configuration.

It does not expose management interfaces.

It does not rely on software updates for daily operation.

It does not depend on centralized controllers.

This intentional limitation improves predictability, reliability, and long-term stability.

8. Where It Fits Best?

8.1: Fixed PoE Device Clusters

Ideal for sites where device count and topology remain stable over time.

Common examples include camera clusters, access control points, and sensor groups.

8.2: Industrial Surveillance Installations

Powers and connects up to 16 IP cameras in factories, mines, and petrochemical plants.

Basic multicast handling improves video efficiency without network tuning.

8.3: Automation Support Networks

Used as an auxiliary switch for PoE-enabled sensors, intercoms, and small HMIs.

Reduces wiring complexity in production lines and control rooms.

8.4: Transportation & Roadside Systems

Suitable for rail stations, roadside cabinets, and traffic monitoring sites.

Fiber ports support long-distance backhaul connections.

Compliance with EN 50121-4 ensures rail-system compatibility.

8.5: Energy & Utility Locations

Deployed in substations, wind farms, and remote monitoring points.

Wide temperature tolerance supports outdoor and semi-underground installations.

8.6: Smart Buildings & Industrial Parks

Acts as a cost-efficient PoE distribution switch.

Supports lighting systems, access control, and environmental monitoring.

VLAN capability separates office, security, and operational traffic.

8.7: Remote IIoT Deployments

Used in water treatment plants, oil fields, and isolated facilities.

PoE removes the need for local power sources.

Plug-and-play behavior simplifies deployment in hard-to-reach locations.

9. Why This Model Exists?

This switch is not meant to be tuned.

It is meant to work continuously.

It favors physical reliability over logical complexity.

For industrial environments where “set it once and forget it” is the real requirement,
IM-FP041616GE fits naturally.
